AKUT
Born in the former GDR, AKUT, whose real name is Falk Lehmann, was one of the first to beautify his city with figurative works in a photorealistic style in the early 90s. He later became known worldwide as a co-founder of the legendary graffiti collective Ma'Claim. Trained at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, his photorealistic precision work impressed the international public from 2004 onwards as part of the street art duo HERAKUT with gigantic murals and on canvases. The portrait, as one of the oldest subjects in art, has always been the most interesting for AKUT. With this focus and an emphasis on social issues, he constantly explores the interplay of different techniques, materials, tools and disciplines.
